An early start

I began learning BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu at eleven. My family could not afford the books, so I stood in bookshops reading and remembering as much as I could. Before I finished school I was analysing charts for classmates and teachers.

What began as curiosity became a lifelong discipline. I turned to the original classical Chinese texts to understand the reasoning behind each interpretation, and later studied with several teachers in Hong Kong and Taiwan to deepen my understanding of both systems.

Over three decades and more than 5,000 charts, my approach has come from both study and practice: returning to the sources, comparing interpretations, and seeing how the traditional principles play out in people's lives.

A teacher long before Astra Academy

My professional life began in journalism before moving into education. I taught Chinese at secondary level and later founded a Chinese language academy in Hong Kong, which grew to three branches and taught more than 10,000 students.

More than twenty years of teaching shaped how I work today. Knowing a subject is not enough. You have to make it understandable.

My clients do not need to learn complicated terminology. My job is to explain what I see, why I interpret it that way, and how it relates to their questions.

What my own chart taught me

Having grown up with very little, I associated success with financial security. In my thirties my business was growing and I was earning well, yet I felt less fulfilled than I had expected.

My charts helped me understand that contrast. I was in a luck cycle that supported business and income but was more demanding emotionally. Seeing that helped me ask better questions: which opportunities are worth my energy, and what kind of life am I building?

That experience shapes my consultations. We look at the opportunities ahead, what they will ask of you, and whether they serve the life you want.

Astra Academy

After relocating to Singapore I began analysing charts for friends here, and one introduction led to another. That was the beginning of Soul Serenity With Tiffany, now Astra Academy. Since 2024 I have worked with more than 2,000 clients in Singapore.

Alongside consultations I teach the BaZi Professional Training Programme and mentor aspiring practitioners, and I speak to companies about leadership and team dynamics. The academy brings together the two things I have done for most of my life: studying Chinese metaphysics, and helping others understand it.

What a consultation with me is like

We begin with you: your questions, your circumstances and the decisions on your mind. I analyse BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu together, cross-checking one against the other, and use Da Liu Ren when a specific question calls for it.

A consultation lasts two hours, is available in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and comes with a 25 to 30 page written report. My approach is practical: understand your strengths, recognise your patterns and consider your timing. A chart is not a fixed verdict or a guarantee. The decisions remain yours.
