Zi Wei Dou Shu 紫微斗數

What Zi Wei Dou Shu is

Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗數) is a classical Chinese system that places stars across twelve palaces of life, calculated from your date and time of birth. Each palace covers one area: self, parents, siblings, spouse, children, career, wealth, health, property, friends, travel and inner life.

The stars in each palace, and how they interact, describe that area in detail. This is why Zi Wei Dou Shu is known for its portraits of people: your own character, and the nature of the people who matter in your life.

What it shows well

• Your personality, talents and way of working
• Your relationships with parents, siblings, partner, children and friends
• The kind of career that suits you, and how you tend to earn
• How to strengthen love and family relationships

How it differs from BaZi

BaZi reads four pillars of stems and branches and is especially strong on timing: which years and ten-year periods favour change. Zi Wei Dou Shu adds the detail around events and people. One tells you when, and the other tells you more about who and how.

Always analysed together

At Astra Academy the two systems are one service. Every consultation uses both charts, cross-checked against each other, so you get the timing of BaZi and the detail of Zi Wei Dou Shu in a single session and a single written report.
